Refund and Returns Policy

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing Solar Republic. We are committed to providing high-quality solar energy solutions that meet New Zealand standards. This Return Policy outlines the conditions under which you may request a return, refund or exchange for products or services purchased from us.

Please read this policy carefully before placing your order. By confirming your purchase, you acknowledge that you have understood and agreed to the terms stated below.

2. Customized and non-standardized products

1. Cancellation Before Dispatch For solar system packages and products purchased from Solar Republic: If payment has been received but the solar panels, inverter or other major equipment has not yet been dispatched or placed into delivery, the customer may cancel the order and receive a full refund. Refunds will normally be processed to the original payment method. 2. Cancellation or Return After Dispatch Once the solar panels, inverter or other major equipment has been dispatched or is in transit, the order may still be cancelled or the products returned, subject to the following conditions: A 25% restocking fee will apply to non-faulty returned equipment. A NZD $150 shipping and delivery fee is non-refundable. The customer is responsible for the cost of returning the products to Solar Republic or the nominated supplier. Returned products must be unused, undamaged and in resalable condition, including original packaging where reasonably possible. Returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery. The 25% restocking fee covers supplier restocking charges, handling, administration and other reasonable costs associated with returning non-faulty equipment. 3. Faulty or Defective Products The above return conditions do not limit any rights the customer may have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA). If a product is faulty, defective, does not match its description, or otherwise fails to meet applicable consumer guarantees, Solar Republic will assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with New Zealand law. Depending on the circumstances, this may include repair, replacement or refund. No restocking fee will apply to a return that is accepted as a remedy for a valid product fault or defect under the CGA.

Therefore, we do not accept returns, exchanges or cancellations once an order has been confirmed and installation has commenced.

3. Compliance with New Zealand consumer law

Nothing in this Return Policy limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

You are entitled to remedies if:

• The product is faulty or defective.
• The installation has not been carried out with reasonable care and skill.
• The product does not perform as reasonably expected or as described.

In such cases, Solar Republic will, at its discretion, repair, replace or remedy the issue as required by law.

4. Pre-installation changes and cancellations

If you wish to cancel or modify your order before installation begins, please contact us immediately. While we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request, please note:

• Design or equipment changes may incur additional costs.
• Cancellations may result in forfeiture of your initial deposit to cover design, administrative and procurement costs already incurred.

5. Post-installation issues

Once installation is complete, the system is covered under:

• Product Warranty: the manufacturer's warranty for panels, inverter and other components.
• Workmanship Guarantee: covering installation quality.

If you experience any issues with system performance, please refer to our Warranty Policy or contact our customer service team. Issues will be resolved by repair or replacement under the applicable warranty terms, rather than through returns or refunds.
