About this installation
This homeowner in New Zealand was looking for a way to reduce rising electricity bills while increasing the energy efficiency and sustainability of their property. With high daytime usage from heating, hot water and EV charging, a 10kW solar power system for the home was the ideal solution.
The residential solar system was designed to match the home's energy profile, maximising daytime self-consumption and reducing reliance on the grid.
The 23-panel array sits on a concrete tile roof, which takes longer to install than a standard metal roof and is quoted separately from our standard package pricing.
Estimated performance
| Metric | Estimate |
|---|---|

| Estimated annual savings | $3,200 to $3,800 NZD |
| Payback period | 6 to 8 years |
| Expected system lifetime | 25+ years, performance warranty on panels |
Figures are estimates based on the site's load profile and modelled generation. Actual output varies with weather, shading and how the household or business uses power.
